Spoke Art Gallery is proud to be partnering up once again with the East Bay Express and fiftyseven-thirtythree to present an exhibition featuring our favorite East Bay artists. This year, we’ve joined forces with the City of Oakland to present our show in conjunction with the 12th Annual Art and Soul Festival. Building upon our 2010 exhibition in Jack London Square, “A Decade with No Name,” we continue to celebrate the growth of artists and community that the East Bay has to offer.
“Oakland NOW” will feature some of our favorite East Bay emerging and established artists. With mediums ranging from illustration to sculpture to painting, this show is intended to serve as a cross section of the diverse art community living and working in Oakland and beyond. Some of the prominent lineup of artists include: Aaron Nagel, Andy Witrak, Brendan Monroe, Brett Amory. Deth P Sun, Eddie Colla, GATS, Gina Tuzzi, Isabel Samaras, Jason Munn, Jeremiah Jenkins, Jesse Hernandez, John Casey, Justin Lovato, Kelly Allen, Ken Davis, Lucien Shapiro, Marcos LaFarga, Monica Canilao, Nicomi Nix Turner, Rich Jacobs and Scott Hove.
“Oakland NOW” will be on view the entire month of August during regular business hours.
